Working Out with Weights

The Paleo craze gained popularity at the same time as cross-fit was taking over as the new go-to total body workout. The FITgals don’t love the Cross-fit model because it is too dependent on heavy lifting and injuries are incredibly common among loyal cross-fitters. Erin Simmons summed up our shared opinion nicely in this post on HuffPo.

That being said, using light weights (1 to 8 lbs) two to three times a week is advised for muscle tone, bone strength, functional strength, and as an aid to achieving the body you desire.
