Juicy Way to Keep Your Resolutions

How are everyone’s New Year’s Resolutions coming? Hitting the gym every day? Eating healthier?

Maybe you’re doing that great juice cleanse we’ve mentioned before. Cleanses aren’t for everyone though, and look!  Gwyneth Paltrow isn’t even doing one to ring in the New Year so clearly, no need to travel the cleanse route if you’re not up for it.

I will suggest that everyone try to give juicing a try at some point in 2013. It’s a great way to get in a ton of nutrients and proponents of juicing say that it may reduce your risk of cancer, boost your immune system, help you remove toxins from your body, aid digestion, and help you lose weight. Sounds good to me!

Here’s a really easy, delicious juice recipe courtesy of FitTrition’s very own Melissa. I tested it out myself after my work out today and it’s delicious!

Lemon Lime
1 Lemon
1 Lime
2 Asian Pears
2 Green Apples
2 Carrots
1 Piece Ginger (thumb sized)
2 cups Purple Cabbage
Calories: 410 Protein 7 g Fiber 1 g
